Simmons Lab is run by Dr David Simmons and his ESRC-funded PhD students. Every year we have Postgraduate Masters and Undergraduate Project students contributing to ongoing projects.

Our research focuses on autistic people and their perceptual experiences. We are also pioneering the use of Virtual Reality technologies in experimental psychology.

Our Virtual Reality work is conducted in labs across the University of Glasgow, including the Advanced Research Centre Extended Reality studio, all of which are managed by Dr Neil McDonnell.

We work closely with Immersive Experiences LabGlasgow Autism Research GroupGlasgow School of Art, and our industrial partners Edify.
